Susan Lucci's bond with Michael B. Jordan transcends the boundaries of the TV screen. In fact, after the Sinners star took home the Best Actor award at the 2026 Oscars, Susan, who portrayed Michael's stepmom on All My Children in the early 2000s, was there to present him with his flowers.
"Congratulations, @michaelbjordan, on your Oscar!" Susan wrote on Instagram alongside a throwback photo of her and Michael on March 16. "I watched last night and was so thrilled to see you win!!! And what a beautiful, gracious, and authentic acceptance speech you gave."

"So proud to have worked with Michael on AMC!!!" she added. "What a phenomenal actor he is!!!"
In his powerful acceptance speech, Michael, 39, thanked everyone who had supported him throughout his journey to this top honor. "Thank you, everybody in this room and everybody at home, for supporting me over my career. I feel it," he said during the ceremony hosted by Conan O'Brien. "I know you guys want me to do well, and I want to do that because you guys bet on me, so thank you for keeping betting on me. I'm gonna keep stepping up and being the best version of myself I can be."
He also paid tribute to his parents, Donna Jordan and Michael A. Jordan, who had traveled overseas to witness his son's career achievement. "Y'all know how I feel about my mother, and my father's here," he continued. "My dad came in from Ghana to be here."
Previously, Michael had shared how his appearance on All My Children from 2003 to 2006 as Reggie Montgomery had shaped his career. "That time I spent on that show did so much for me education-wise," he told Sirius XM in a Feb. 17 interview, sharing that he had the honor of "learning about the craft" alongside stars like Susan, Darnell Williams, and Walt Willey. "We did 100-plus pages a day," he added. "We did an episode and a half a day – it was a machine. And for a kid who never really went to acting classes or acting school or anything like that, that was my education. I learned from them."
