Mikayla Nogueira is stepping away from this discourse. After a viral video of her at the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special premiere sparked controversy, she lashed out at followers who accused her of altering her appearance online with filters. "This is the last time I'm engaging in this conversation," Mikayla declared in a March 30 TikTok. "We've discussed this for the past six years, and I'm ready to put it to rest."
Indeed, the 27-year-old beauty influencer, who has been a staple of the beauty TikTok community since 2020, admitted that she was "exhausted" by the ongoing debate surrounding her appearance on the app. "I've said countless times that I don't film my videos with filters," she insisted. "I'll die on that hill. I'm filming this right now in the TikTok app. There's zero filter on my face. No beauty mode. I'm just sitting by a window on a cloudy day. This is how I look."

Elaborating on her filming methods, she noted, "I've been filming with the front camera on the TikTok app for six damn years, and this is how I look." While acknowledging that the video that reignited the filter debate in her comments was "f--king hideous," she emphasized that it wasn't an accurate representation of her actual appearance. "I looked terrible in that video," Mikayala continued. "I don't know what happened there, but people took that video and ran with it, claiming it was how I really looked."
But she reassured fans that their most authentic self could be seen on her own account. "Anyone who has met me in person knows that this is how I look," she added. "I can't control the fact that you saw a hideous video of me on the internet and have come to the conclusion that I'm lying about my appearance."
Considering the years-long debate about whether or not she uses filters, Mikayla reiterated that she wouldn't address the speculation again and slammed her followers for continuing to bring it up. "Is it just because you don't think I'm pretty and you want me to f--king fail?" Mikayla pressed. "You want to see my downfall? I don't understand. I'm not deceiving my audience at all. This is how I look. Zero filters, zero beauty mode, zero altering, zero editing, zero anything."
As she put it, "There are no filters, and I'm f--king tired of hearing about it."
