Miley Cyrus can certainly afford to indulge herself in bouquets and gowns. Recently, a fan's inquiry about the hooded, golden dress Miley wore in her 2023 music video for "Flowers" sparked a buzz, wondering if it was a subtle jab at Jennifer Lawrence, as fans had long speculated. In a TikTok post on May 27, Miley cleared the air, saying, "No, but I absolutely adore her dress."

For those unfamiliar with the tale, whispers had it that Miley's ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, and Jennifer had a fleeting romance during their years filming the 'Hunger Games' saga, amid Miley and Liam's on-and-off relationship spanning a decade. (Jennifer, on her part, has only acknowledged one off-screen kiss with Liam after his breakup with Miley.)

When Miley released the "Flowers" music video, which kicked off with her striding in a golden dress eerily similar to one Jennifer wore to the 2012 premiere of the first 'Hunger Games' film, fans jumped to the conclusion that the attire was a deliberate nod to their past drama. Many believed that "Flowers" was deeply inspired by Miley and Liam's 2019 divorce.

In a subsequent part of the interview, Jennifer, who shares two children with her husband Cooke Maroney, delved deeper into how the rumors affected her. "Imagine how devastating it is when just five people at a party accuse you of sleeping with someone's boyfriend. Now multiply that by, oh, I'm terrible at math, but let's say 8 billion," she lamented.

Since Miley and Liam permanently parted ways, the Grammy Award-winner, who is now dating Maxx Morando, has rarely commented on her decade-long relationship with her 'The Last Song' co-star. Meanwhile, Liam has been dating Gabriella Brooks, sparking romance rumors since late 2019.

In one of her September 2023 TikTok videos reflecting on her life, the former 'Hannah Montana' star disclosed that it was during her performance at the Glastonbury Festival in 2019 when she realized her eight-month marriage to Liam had come to a close. "The day of the concert was the day I decided that staying in that relationship no longer suited my life," she recounted, sharing the emotional turmoil she faced before going on stage. "That was a moment where my work, performance, and character took precedence. Perhaps that's why it's crucial for me now to prioritize the human aspect first."
