In an interview with Harper's Bazaar last November, Cyrus hinted at "Something Beautiful"'s visual album format, revealing that her concept was inspired by Pink Floyd's iconic 1979 masterpiece, "The Wall." She shared, "We dove headfirst into this endeavor, and it holds a special place in my heart." Cyrus elaborated, "My vision was to create something akin to 'The Wall,' but with a stunning wardrobe, more glamour, and imbued with pop culture's essence."

Cyrus not only serves as one of the film's producers but also directed it alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walker. The production houses behind this cinematic venture include Cyrus' label Columbia Records, Sony Music Vision, Live Nation, and XYZ Films. Joining her in production are Panos Cosmatos, Nick Spicer, Nate Bolotin, and Aram Tertzakian. Among the executive producers are Columbia CEO Ron Perry, Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, Sony Music executive Tom Mackay, and Live Nation executives Brad Wavra and Ryan Kroft. Adam Folk and Krista Wegener also lend their executive producing talents to the project.

"Something Beautiful" succeeds Cyrus' 2023 album "Endless Summer Vacation," her debut with Columbia Records. This album marked a resounding success, spawning the global hit "Flowers" and earning Cyrus her maiden Grammy Awards last year, more than a decade into her storied career. In February, she added a third Grammy to her collection for her collaboration with Beyoncé on "II Most Wanted" from Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter." Praised by The Hollywood Reporter as the second-best song of 2024, Cyrus continues to mesmerize with her latest auditory and visual masterpiece.
