Miley Cyrus uncovered an intriguing tale of perseverance and unforeseen adversity during a recent visit to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", detailing her encounter with a "severe infection" while shooting a video for her forthcoming film, which accompanies her latest album, Something Beautiful. The Grammy-adorned vocalist shared that budget constraints led her to choose the serene hours of night to capture footage at the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, envisioning fewer distractions and a smoother shoot. Little did she know, this decision would mark the beginning of an unexpected ordeal.

"It was October when we filmed," Cyrus recounted, her voice tinged with humor despite the gravity of her tale. "But by November, on Thanksgiving, I found myself momentarily in the ICU." She clarified that the holiday rush had filled the hospital to capacity, prompting her temporary transfer to the intensive care unit. "My leg, specifically around the kneecap, started to deteriorate," she revealed to host Jimmy Kimmel, painting a vivid picture of her plight.

The "Flowers" chanteuse continued, recounting the doctor's puzzled inquiry: "'Do you have any idea why you'd have such an aggressive infection on your kneecap?'" It was then that the memory of her dancing freely on the Hollywood ground flashed before her eyes. "I had to confess," she said, recalling the surgeon's disgusted reaction upon inspecting her knee. "They've seen the insides of cadavers, human guts, brains during operations, yet here they were, looking at me and thinking, 'Yuck!'"

Scheduled for a grand cinematic release on June 12, shortly after the May 30 debut of her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, Cyrus' visual album promises to be a "unique visual experience fueled by fantasy," a "one-of-a-kind pop opera." During her conversation with Kimmel, the "Wrecking Ball" singer admitted to harboring grand dreams and possessing a "pretty good budget" for the film, only to confess, with a chuckle, "I spent it all on my clothes."

"When it came time to shoot at the Walk of Fame, they were like, 'Are you renting this, or what? It's way out of your price range,'" she recounted, addressing Kimmel with a tone of mock concern. "I said, 'No, we'll just go in the dead of night.' Have you ever been to the Walk of Fame at night?" she asked the host, her voice tinged with a hint of dread. "I thought it might be my last day."

Though Cyrus later expressed remorse, fearing her revelation might tarnish the grandeur of her vision, Kimmel swiftly reassured her. "No, what you've shown everyone is the ultimate sacrifice," he corrected her warmly. "You nearly gave your life for this art."
