Miley Cyrus unleashed a treasure trove of rare insights into her engagement, revealing the "special" locale where Maxx Morando popped the question. During her recent appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday, the Flowers singer beamed with pride as she showcased her ring, expressing how her personal and professional lives feel "perfectly aligned."

"I'm not easily surprised because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered," Miley recalled of her proposal. "I had never been to Japan before, and I did it on purpose. I wanted one place in the world that could be my special place, saved just for me."
The three-time Grammy-winning artist continued, "Me and Maxx have been together for four years, and it's very obvious the drastic amount of growth I've had in those four years. You just want to dream the biggest you can, and you want to have someone by your side that always tells you, 'You can do it,'" she gushed.
The news of Miley and Maxx's engagement first broke on December 1, when the pair stepped out for the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere in Los Angeles, with Miley flashing a diamond ring confirming the news. Cyrus was also spotted wearing her engagement ring around mid-November, as per Deux Moi. She was also seen with her diamond ring in the snaps of her 33rd birthday post on Instagram on November 23.
Shortly after the news of their engagement broke, Miley spoke to People during the promotion of the new film Avatar: Fire and Ash, featuring her song Dream as One. "The detail I can share is that for us, our privacy and keeping it small has been something that I've been astounded that I've actually been able to have and being able to have more choice," she said of her engagement. "I think it's also being older, being more protective of what I'm open to sharing."
