Morgan Evans is throwing a red-carpet soiree for his latest love story, and it's a grand entrance indeed. Nearly three years after his divorce from Kelsea Ballerini, the "Kiss Somebody" crooner stepped out for the 2025 CMA Awards, hand in hand with his girlfriend, Laci Kaye Booth, marking their first red-carpet debut together. For the November 19 event hosted by Lainey Wilson, Morgan rocked a silk white blouse and black trousers, accessorized with a sleek leather jacket. To complete his dapper look, he left the top three buttons of his shirt undone, showcasing his black beaded necklace with a hint of boldness. Meanwhile, Lacy, who officially announced her relationship with Morgan in May during a performance at The Vineyard Goes Country festival, dazzled in a red lace gown with a high slit and matching fingerless gloves. She finished her ensemble with eye-popping diamond jewelry and styled her red hair into long, tight curls.
Morgan, 40, and Lacy, 29, weren't shy about their affection at the annual awards ceremony, sharing a sweet kiss on the iconic velvet rug. And while Kelsea—who was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year—was also in attendance, the exes didn't pose together for any photos. It's no surprise; after all, Kelsea has since been linked to Outer Banks star Chase Stokes.
Kelsea previously revealed that she and Morgan lost contact after sharing an "honest" conversation before publicly announcing their split. "I was like, 'I've loved what this has brought in my life and I respect you and I respect me and because of that, I can no longer be in this marriage,'" Kelsea recalled during a 2023 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. "I really wanna, like, honor the good that we've experienced by doing this the right way." And it was indeed beautiful; they cried, hugged, and it was sweet. However, that mutual understanding didn't last. As Kelsea admitted at the time, "I haven't talked to him since."
"After that conversation, obviously you lawyer up and you tell your team and you get your people and everything kind of just shifted," she added. "I'm at peace with it now."
