The star of "My 600-Lb. Life," Dolly Martinez, has passed away at the age of 30. On Saturday, April 11, Martinez's sister, Lindsey Cooper, shared the devastating news of her passing on Facebook, reaching out to other family members in the post.

Cooper continued, "While our hearts are shattered here, I find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our dad in heaven. I can only imagine the joy of that reunion. Rest peacefully, Dolly. You will always be loved, missed, and never forgotten."

TMZ was the first to report the news of Martinez's death. The family has not shared a cause of death as of yet. A representative for TLC did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Sunday, April 12.

Martinez was featured in season 10 of the TLC series when she was just 25 years old. During her episode, she spoke candidly about her struggles with food addiction and mental health. "The only thing powerful enough to distract me from darker thoughts is food," she explained on the episode. "Food is my go-to drug that takes my pain away. ... Food is more than just a pleasure. It's my reason for existing."

Her "My 600-Lb. Life" episode later showed her moving from Fort Worth, Texas, to Houston to be closer to bariatric surgeon Dr. Now, in hopes of qualifying for weight loss surgery. She eventually lost around 40 lbs., but she was not approved for the procedure during her time on the show.

In the wake of her death, a number of Martinez's family, friends, and supporters shared their support via social media. "My deepest condolences to your family and everyone involved. She was truly an amazing woman, and being her friend was a gift. Love, hugs, and prayers to all!" one person commented on Facebook. "I am so sorry for your family's loss," another commenter wrote. "Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers."
