Close will embody Officer Jaxon Noseworthy, while Henstridge will take on the role of Jan in a narrative where Hartnett portrays a gritty fisherman determined to safeguard his family, his community, and his dwindling way of life. This untitled series will showcase Newfoundland's rugged beauty and the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop for the gripping hunt for the enigmatic sea creature. Other notable productions, such as Amazon Prime's 'Reacher' and Apple TV+'s 'Severance,' have also filmed in this Canadian province.

Henstridge boasts an impressive resume spanning film and television, including credits in 'Would Be Kings,' 'Commander in Chief,' 'Diggstown,' and 'The Whole Nine Yards.' Close, who recently starred in Paramount+'s 'Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenet Ramsey' miniseries, is also set to shine in the upcoming Netflix thriller 'Wayward.' As a director, Close garnered acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival, winning the Best Narrative Film award for his feature 'In Their Skin,' featuring Selma Blair and James D’Arcy.

Henstridge and Close join a stellar ensemble cast that includes Mackenzie Davis and Charlie Heaton for this Newfoundland-based series. McKeown, a seasoned screenwriter behind hit TV shows like 'The Umbrella Academy' and '19-2,' executive produces the sea creature series alongside Chris Hatcher and Sharon Hall. The writing team comprises Karen Walton ('Orphan Black'), Perry Chafe, and Natty Zavitz.

Henstridge is represented by Buchwald and Atlas Artists, while Close is represented by Buchwald, Play Management, and Stride Management. Together, they will bring depth and intensity to this chilling tale set against the breathtaking landscapes of Newfoundland.
