NBA athlete Rudy Gobert and Julia Bonilla have vocally addressed a startling rumor circulating about their personal relationship. The center for the Minnesota Timberwolves released a statement via social media, responding to a TMZ Sports report that claimed he had parted ways with his pregnant partner, who is expecting their second child, and instructed her to vacate their home, along with their toddler son, Roméo, who had recently celebrated his first birthday.
"An abundance of misleading information is floating around..." Rudy penned on his Instagram Stories on May 16. "Julia and I are currently navigating the agonizing journey of redefining our co-parenting dynamic. Being a father stands as one of the deepest and most significant experiences I will ever encounter. It holds a paramount place in my life's objectives and will forever remain so."
He further emphasized, "I am utterly dedicated to continually supporting the welfare of those I hold dear. I implore everyone to refrain from conjecture and to uphold our privacy amidst these trying circumstances."
Julia, who has been in a relationship with the French basketball star since at least the beginning of 2024, also addressed the controversy on her own social media platform.
"I am enduring one of the most excruciating periods in my life, feeling estranged from my family and friends," she shared on her Instagram Stories, as evidenced by numerous screenshots of her post. "I viewed Rudy as the love of my life. I forfeited everything for him. I bestowed upon him a child and devoted my heart and soul to our relationship."
She continued, "When others lambasted and berated him, I stood by his side, consistently prioritizing him and choosing him, always. Regardless of how I was treated, I chose to safeguard his reputation for the sake of our children. I have NEVER, EVER been disloyal to the father of my children. As a mother, I must prioritize my health and well-being. Thank you for respecting my privacy during this arduous time."
