Saltburn's renowned Barry Keoghan has granted an exclusive interview, delving into the complexities of his childhood. During a recent visit to his Dublin hometown, the 32-year-old nostalgia-soaked in memories of his formative years.
In this heartfelt conversation, Barry revealed that his mother was not the only loved one taken by drugs; he also lost two uncles and a cousin to the same fate. "One would think that such losses would serve as a stark warning: 'If I even dabble in this, I'm fucked.' But curiosity is a potent force," he admitted. "Sometimes it guides us beneficially, and sometimes it leads us astray. In my case, it steered me towards destruction."
The 'Dunkirk' star confessed that even the birth of his son, Brando, in 2022, didn't quell his insatiable curiosity. He elaborated to Hollywood Authentic, "You find yourself in LA, in Hollywood, amidst the grand stage. The pressure is immense, and the lifestyle is a double-edged sword. You're surrounded by temptation, and it's merely a matter of chance if you end up succumbing to it."
However, Keoghan asserts that he has now found peace and accepts full responsibility for his past actions. Currently, the Irish actor is in full throttle, promoting his latest film 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' alongside Jenna Ortega and The Weeknd.
