That's precisely why the "Closer" singer—who is currently in a polyamorous relationship with Cristina (affectionately dubbed "Pretty Baby"), Arielle Hill ("Twin Flame"), Moneii ("Phoenix Feather"), and Brionna Williams ("Sexy Lil’ Somethin’")—has an Alaskan King-sized bed installed in his home. "That's like having two California Kings side by side," he explained to YouTuber Kai Cenat during a livestream on September 10. "You've gotta have that mattress custom-made."
While Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) clarified that he isn't legally married to any of the women, he does refer to them as his "wives." "My love life is phenomenal," the 45-year-old artist added with a smile. "I'm in an amazing space. I've got four stunning ladies who stand by me regularly."
Ne-Yo first introduced his girlfriends to the world back in March, revealing that he has bestowed a unique nickname upon each of them. "Since the world seems so intrigued, I guess I should properly introduce my loves," he wrote on Instagram at the time. "LADIES AND GENTS, I PRESENT MY PYRAMID."
For the Grammy-winning artist, the secret to a successful polyamorous relationship lies in honest communication. As he put it, they've established clear boundaries with one another, including a rule that the girlfriends aren't permitted to date other people. "When I started this journey with these women, I didn't demand their exclusivity. I didn't ask for it," Ne-Yo explained on The Angie Martinez Show on April 10. "They were the ones who approached me and said, 'I want to be exclusive to you and just you.' I replied, 'You understand that your exclusivity to me doesn't guarantee my exclusivity to you, right? You're okay with that?'"
In fact, the "So Sick" singer—who was married to Crystal Renay Williams from 2016 to 2023—stated that his "main rule is to just keep it real" with his partners. "We're not going to lie to each other," Ne-Yo emphasized. "We're not going to sit here and blow smoke up each other's asses."
