Niall Horan is shedding light on his intimate romance with Amelia "Mia" Woolley, his girlfriend of over five years, in a rare and candid interview. The 32-year-old singer-songwriter has kept his relationship with Woolley out of the public eye, but she has served as the inspiration behind his latest single, "Dinner Party." In a new interview with GQ Hype, Horan delves into some of the most cherished aspects of their connection.
"Having someone to rant to and listen to, and being heard, is incredibly valuable. I'm grateful to have found that," Horan told the outlet. "And she's amazing in her own right. I love the life we share together."

The Irish star, who shares homes with Woolley in London and Los Angeles, as well as a dog named Tommy, also revealed that both he and his girlfriend are "big procrastinators." "Friday comes and I'll be all excited for the weekend, but by Sunday night, we've done nothing," he said. "We spend the entire weekend cooped up in the house."
Horan is set to release his new album, Dinner Party, on June 5th. He told GQ that the record marks a natural evolution in his songwriting, which developed with the new perspective he gained upon turning 30. "Something happens in your early 30s, and you realize that maybe, subconsciously, you're changing," he explained. "Some of the songs are now deeper to me now that I think about it. Really because I've been writing deeper lyrics subconsciously."
Horan and Woolley have been linked since 2020, and made their public debut as a couple at his Horan & Rose Gala in 2021. In an Instagram video on March 2nd, he revealed that "Dinner Party" is all about the first time he met Woolley. "This is the first time I've thought about it in a bigger picture, like a once-in-a-lifetime moment that actually changes your direction of travel and life," he said. "And of course it was based around a dinner party, because that's where I met her, but it's kind of bigger than that in terms of the whole scope of what came next in terms of the album."
Upon the release of his album The Show in 2023, Horan told Bustle that it was "dead right" that he was madly in love, but explained why he prefers to keep things private. "If everyone knew everything, [my songwriting] wouldn't be as candid, would it?" he said. "There'd be all these theories, and I'm not here for that. I'm here to write what's on my mind, and love happens to be one of those things that's flying around me."
