Nicki Minaj mocks Megan Thee Stallion over harassment lawsuit update

Published: Jul 09 2025

Nicki Minaj has pounced on Megan Thee Stallion with sarcasm, following the revelation that the latter's legal battle against a sexual harassment suit is progressing, after a judge declined her bid to dismiss the case.

The 30-year-old Megan, alongside her management firm Roc Nation, is entangled in litigation initiated by Emelio Garcia, a former cameraman for the "WAP" artist. Garcia alleges harassment and the creation of a toxic work environment by the rapper. In his court filing, he recounts an alleged incident where he was confined in a moving vehicle while Megan engaged in sexual activity with another woman.

Despite Megan's vehement denial of these "lurid accusations," she attempted to dismiss the lawsuit, insisting it was merely a money grab devoid of any valid sexual harassment claims, laced with sensationalist allegations meant to tarnish her reputation.

However, last week, Judge Gregory H. Woods of New York ruled in favor of Garcia, deeming the evidence provided sufficient to uphold his claims—a decision that drew applause from Nicki Minaj, Megan's rap rival.

Reacting with glee to the news on her Instagram, the "Super Bass" artist penned: "What was that legal principle again? Oh yes, Karma's Decree? The Commandment of Untouchable Anointment? Vengeance, a domain of the Almighty? We bow to God's glory, for He has merely scratched the surface. May your day be blessed, despite the blogs peddling falsehoods. Thank you for the lies; they only pave the way for more wealth for me. We're on a roll. Trust," she added, sharing a screenshot of an AkademiksTV article detailing the legal update.

The 42-year-old Nicki and Megan have been locked in a bitter rivalry since 2021, trading barbs through their music. In 2024, Megan unleashed her song "Hiss," featuring lyrics widely perceived as a swipe at Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty. The track opens with Megan's declaration to air her grievances and move past them, before rapping: "They ain't mad at Megan, they mad at Megan's Law / I don't get the beef, but trust, you don't want me to ignite." Megan's Law, here, refers to the U.S. federal law mandating public access to information on registered sex offenders, subtly alluding to Petty, who pleaded guilty to attempted rape by force or fear as a 16-year-old.

Hours after "Hiss" dropped, Nicki launched into a social media tirade, teasing her diss track "Big Foot" aimed at Megan. Released in January this year, the song featured scathing lyrics mocking Megan for the injuries she sustained when shot in the foot by Tory Lanez.

Nonetheless, in September 2024, Meghan candidly admitted that she was still at a loss as to what had gone wrong between them. "I don't even know what to reconcile because, to this day, I'm unsure what the issue is," she confided to Billboard, painting a vivid picture of her confusion.
