At Wednesday's "Trump Accounts" summit in Washington, D.C., Nicki Minaj declared herself to be President Donald Trump's biggest fan. The event, hosted by the U.S. Treasury Department in support of Trump accounts—a new type of tax-advantaged individual retirement account for children that parents, guardians, employers, and other donors can contribute to—saw the "Super Freaky Girl" rapper elaborate on her support for the president, which has drawn criticism following her surprise appearance at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest in December.
"I don't know what to say, but I will say that I am probably the president's No. 1 fan," Minaj said at the summit on Wednesday. "And that's not going to change. The hate, or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all." She continued, "It actually motivates me to support him more. And it's going to motivate all of us to support him more."

Minaj emphasized that they would not let anyone get away with bullying or smear campaigns against the president. "He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him," she said, adding, "Amen."
Roughly a month earlier at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest, Minaj told Erika Kirk, the organization's CEO and Charlie Kirk's widow, that she has "the utmost respect and admiration for our president. I don't know if he even knows this, but he's given so many people hope."
Before that appearance, the rapper had vocalized her political opposition to Gavin Newsom, notably critiquing his support of trans kids. "Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids," Minaj wrote on X on Dec. 12. "Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that." She added, "Normal adults wake up and think they want to see healthy, safe, happy kids. Not Gav. The Gav Nots. GavOUT. Send in the next guy, I'm bored."
Additional attendees at Wednesday's summit included Marty Supreme and Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary, Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines, conservative influencer Isabel Brown, political consultant Alex Bruesewitz, Sen. Ted Cruz, Michael Dell, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
