Nicole Kidman unveiled her experiences on the set of the second season of "Nine Perfect Strangers," highlighting both the joys and a significant hurdle encountered during production. The series delves into the narratives of nine individuals from diverse backgrounds who converge at a secluded wellness retreat, Tranguillium House, in search of healing and personal transformation. Kidman stars as Masha Dmitrichenko, the enigmatic and intense director of this wellness haven.
In an interview with People Magazine, the 57-year-old actress shared her enthusiasm for filming the sequel amidst the breathtaking Austrian Alps, where the new season takes a darker, more intense trajectory compared to its predecessor. "I adore the Austrian Alps," Kidman enthused. "I was smitten by their allure. There's an invigorating vitality to being outdoors, immersed in the actual locations, braving the bone-chilling cold, and treading through the snow. The air, the water, the landscape – their authenticity captures something indescribable," she elaborated, revealing that they shot for approximately six months amidst snowy conditions, utilizing a genuine castle as a pivotal setting.
While the "Baby Girl" actress found herself enchanted by the location's scenery, she conceded that shooting under the cover of darkness during the bitter cold posed a formidable challenge. "It's one thing to shoot at night, quite another when it's freezing cold," she continued. "I'd think, ‘I'm exhausted and freezing,’ but somehow, that exhaustion and coldness could seep into the storyline and enhance my performance," she revealed.
The second season of "Nine Perfect Strangers" premiered on May 21st.
