Nikki Garcia couldn't help but frown upon the grimy salvos unleashed by the crowd. Indeed, the WWE star addressed the fans who teased her about her ex-fiancé, John Cena, during her appearance on Monday Night Raw on November 10th. "The hate is so gross," Nikki, 41, exclaimed on the November 13th episode of her Nikki & Brie podcast. "But honestly, I think [the chants] got picked up more on TV or I was too in my moment that I didn't even hear it."

During the Boston match, the wrestler (known as Nikki Bella in the ring) cheered on Stephanie Vaquer as she defeated Raquel Rodriguez. However, as Stephanie embraced her victory, Nikki executed a shocking heel turn and smacked her with the championship belt before leaving the ring. And as she relished in her villainous twist, the crowd chanted, "Cena left you!"—a nod to the couple's split in July 2018.
Nikki—who shares son Matteo, 5, with ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev—told her sister and fellow wrestler Brie Garcia that she didn't find out about the chants until later that night. Nevertheless, she wasn't bothered by the hate. "Boston is an amazing crowd," she continued in the podcast episode. "It was so much fun."
While it seems fans are still wary of the exes' six-year romance, the Total Divas alum has confirmed that she and John, 48—who's married to Shay Shariatzadeh—are on good terms. In fact, the two briefly reunited at the 2025 Royal Rumble in February. "It was very quick," Nikki told Kristin Cavallari of their cordial interaction in March. "I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone's hand. He shook my hand. When he walked away, all the girls were like, 'Oh my gosh.'"
Despite the noticeable reactions around them at the time, Nikki appreciated that the Peacemaker actor didn't feed into the reception and acknowledged her. "It was great because [we were] breaking the ice and we both happened to be back at [WWE] at the same time," she continued. "It's a good feeling."
