Offset expressed his heartfelt gratitude after his frightening ordeal. On April 10, the Migos rapper shared a heartfelt message on Instagram following his release from the hospital, where he had been admitted after being shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on April 6.

"Thank you to everyone who's reached out to me and shown me love!" Offset wrote. "I'm doing well... but I'm planning to be even better! I'm focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music... realizing that life is a mix of quiet triumphs and loud setbacks..." He continued, "Life is a gamble, and I'm still playing to win."

A spokesperson for Offset also confirmed to E! News that the 34-year-old (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) had been released from the hospital and was "up and walking." The rep added, "We're incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital staff who took such great care of him."

The "Clout" rapper, who shares three children with ex-partner Cardi B—Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 19 months—as well as three other children from previous relationships, was hospitalized with what Seminole County Police described to TMZ as "non-life-threatening injuries."

The police spokesperson added that Seminole Police were on the scene immediately and that the situation was quickly contained. A spokesperson for Offset later told E! that he was "currently at the hospital receiving medical care."

Following the shooting, the Seminole Police Department confirmed to E! News that rapper Lil Tjay (real name Tione Merritt) had been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—affray, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida Statute. However, Lil Tjay's attorney denied that her client was involved in the situation with Offset.

"Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting," lawyer Dawn Florio posted on Instagram on April 7. "Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources and verify the accuracy of any reporting before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors."
