Offset stands poised to embark on a fresh journey, as he reveals deep insights into his personal life a year after his estranged wife, Cardi B, initiated divorce proceedings for the second time. The former Migos rapper, in an interview with the Associated Press published on August 16th, unveiled that the closing track "Move On" from his latest album, Kiari, serves as a poignant testament to the conclusion of their relationship.

"It's a song about peacefully moving forward," Offset, born Kiari Cephus, shared. "That's the intended message." The 33-year-old further elaborated, "It's all enveloped in love and peace. I chose to cap off the album with this track, symbolically closing that chapter because it's time to move past it; it's over and done."

While gazing hopefully towards the horizon, Offset, who co-parents Kulture Kiari, 7, Wave Set, 3, and Blossom, 11 months, with Cardi, seems ready to let go of their past together. "It was wonderful while it lasted," he continued. "But it's a story that's now closed for both of us. It's a book whose pages have turned."

On her side of the divide, Cardi, born Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, has been embracing her newfound romance with NFL star Stefon Diggs, which she introduced to her Instagram followers in June. Nevertheless, she hasn't hesitated to voice her lingering frustrations towards Offset amidst their ongoing divorce saga.

During an X (formerly Twitter) livestream in May, Cardi expressed her anger passionately in response to Offset's request for spousal support, saying, "I want you to die, but I want you to die fucking slow, nigga. I want you to linger in bed as you perish, and as you do, nigga, you gotta think of me." The rapper behind the hit "WAP," who first filed for divorce in 2020 before reconciling with Offset, also alleged she had amended her divorce papers to expedite the legal process by withdrawing her request for child support.

"I didn't seek child support because I yearn to sever all ties with this marriage," she went on. "I feel encumbered and restricted." However, Cardi made it clear that Offset "is more than welcome to see my children," emphasizing, "[There] isn't a single day when he isn't permitted to be with them."
