OJ Simpson's estate has reportedly rejected Kim Kardashian's bid of $15,000 to acquire her late father, Robert Kardashian's inscribed Bible. According to People magazine, the founder of SKIMS reached out to Malcolm LaVergne, the administrator tasked with liquidating Simpson's assets to satisfy his debts, with the intention of acquiring the family heirloom before it was put up for auction.

"The amount offered is precisely why I had no alternative," LaVergne revealed to the outlet. "Why would I authorize the expenditure of $15,000 from the estate funds, or even incur $15,000 in legal fees, just to sell it to Kim for the same amount? It's a wash; it's a flawed business strategy. If Kim had offered $150,000, we would have expedited the court approval process to facilitate a private sale, bypassing the auction," he further elaborated.

LaVergne clarified that the 44-year-old Kardashian could still participate in the online bidding for the Bible, which currently had a pending offer of $9,800. "She might even secure it for less than the $15,000 she initially offered, so one never knows," he suggested.

Representatives for the "Kardashians" star were unavailable for immediate comment when reached by Page Six.

The Bible bears a heartfelt handwritten note from Robert, dated June 18, 1994, the day after Simpson was apprehended and charged with the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her close acquaintance, Ronald Goldman. The note reads, "O.J., this book will help. God loves and he will speak to you through his words. Read this book every day. God has a specific plan for your life. You are his child, and he will use you again. I love you, and God loves you."

The retired NFL legend was acquitted of the criminal charges but was found liable in a civil trial in 1997. Robert Sr. succumbed to esophageal cancer in September 2003, aged 59. As for Simpson, he passed away from prostate cancer in April 2024, aged 76.
