Orlando Bloom embarks on a journey of healing. Several days subsequent to the revelation that the beloved "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor and his fiancée, Katy Perry, had parted ways after nine years of companionship, Bloom subtly hinted at their separation through a series of enigmatic social media updates.
On June 30th, drawing inspiration from Buddha, Bloom posted on his Instagram Stories, "Each dawn ushers in a fresh start. Our actions today hold the utmost significance." The 48-year-old, who shares his 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, with the "Teenage Dream" chanteuse and is also the father of 14-year-old son Flynn Bloom with his ex-partner Miranda Kerr, further shared an exhortation from the late Japanese Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda, which read, "The crux lies in taking that initial stride. Confronting one minor fear with bravery imparts the courage to embrace the forthcoming day."
Although neither celebrity has publicly addressed the breakup, Perry offered a glimpse into her emotional state post-split, accompanied by one of Australia's most endearing creatures. On June 27th, in an Instagram carousel, the 40-year-old beamed beside a fluffy quokka, captioning it, "Mood: Quokka." In another clip, the "Firework" crooner, who was in the midst of her Lifetimes tour in Australia, danced on a beach retreat with friends and Daisy Dove.
Meanwhile, amidst Perry's global commitments, Bloom was a guest at the lavish nuptials of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice, Italy. The "Lord of the Rings" veteran relished the multi-day Italian festivities alongside an array of celebrity guests, including Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Oprah Winfrey, and Tom Brady.
The bride and groom undoubtedly felt Perry's absence. Sánchez, who shares a Blue Origin flight crew bond with Perry, posted a heartfelt message under Perry's quokka photo on June 27th, stating, "We miss you Katy."
While it appears that Bloom and Perry have officially become each other's missed connection, this isn't their first foray into a temporary separation. Less than a year after officially confirming their romance on Instagram, the ex-lovebirds temporarily called it quits in February 2017, only to rekindle their affair later on.
