Sharing via Facebook, Jake recounted a message he received from Osbourne subsequent to the "Paranoid" hitmaker's farewell concert. The message, steeped in sincerity, read: "Hi Jake, I'm so sorry I couldn't spend more time with you on the weekend, but it was utter chaos. I'd love to catch up with you when I eventually return to LA, just to shoot the breeze. It's been ages since we last saw each other; I recall hearing you were residing in Las Vegas last. How did your gig go on Saturday? I truly hope you enjoyed it regardless. I'll text you once I'm back in LA, and we must definitely hook up. Much love and respect, OZZY."

Accompanying the message, the "Bark at the Moon" guitarist penned a caption that resonated with emotion: "Still grappling with it. The stark reality of his absence washes over me in waves. This was a text I received from him as I sat in an airport, en route back home, just two weeks ago."

It's worth noting that Lee joined forces with the "Iron Man" singer in 1982, contributing to several iconic albums, among them "Bark at the Moon," "The Ultimate Sin," and more. This revelation follows closely on the heels of Osbourne's family announcing the passing of the "Crazy Train" legend on Tuesday, July 22.

For those unaware, Osbourne, aged 76, passed away peacefully, with his beloved wife Sharon by his side.
