Paris Jackson Slams Colman Domingo Over Michael Jackson Biopic Comments

Paris Jackson is far from ecstatic at the mere mention of her name being entwined with a cinematic portrayal of her late, legendary father, Michael Jackson. In the wake of Colman Domingo's recent affirmations that both she, aged 27, and her brother Prince Jackson were "unwaveringly supportive" of the forthcoming film 'Michael'—wherein Domingo embodies the character of patriarch Joe Jackson—and had demonstrated "nothing less than kindness and warmth" in their brief encounters, Paris took to her Instagram Story on August 2nd to set the record straight regarding her stance on this biographical movie set to release in 2026.Paris Jackson Slams Colman Domingo Over Michael Jackson Biopic Comments 1

"Please refrain from telling folks I was 'helpful' on a movie set I had absolutely zero involvement in, lol," Paris penned with a hint of sarcasm. "That's seriously bizarre."

She went on to paint a vivid picture of her interactions with the film's production team, stating: "I perused one of the script's initial drafts, offered my insights on what felt dishonest or uncomfortable, and when those concerns went unaddressed, I gracefully exited stage left. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Blessings and swift journeys ahead."

Paris, whose younger sibling includes 23-year-old Bigi Jackson, further elaborated on her feelings after hearing Colman's comments suggesting her support. In a video posted to her Instagram Story, she quipped, "My thought on that was, 'Hey, I've crossed paths with this gentleman twice,' both times being super brief encounters."

She further drew comparisons to other musical legends' biopics, notably 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' to elucidate her decision to stay away from the 'Michael' film. "The crux of these biopics," she elaborated in another Story segment, "lies in their being Hollywood's escapist fantasy realm." She continued, "They abound with inaccuracies and brazen falsehoods. In the final analysis, such distortions do not sit comfortably with me. I abhor deception, I voiced my concerns, but my voice went unheard, so I gracefully exited. Case closed."

Amid the resulting uproar, Paris addressed critics who accused her of "hating" and "resenting" her father, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 50, for her decision to stay away from the film. "That's not my reality, nor my intention," she emphasized firmly. "I simply prioritize honesty over profits and monetary gains. That's all there is to it. I don't want any part of it. So, I'm going to step back once more and mind my own business. I suggest you do the same."
