Pink to Host Tony Awards

Published: Apr 10 2026

Pink will take the helm as the host of the 79th Annual Tony Awards in June, following in the illustrious footsteps of Cynthia Erivo, who anchored the ceremony last year, and Ariana DeBose, who had the honor for three years prior. The star-studded event will be held at the illustrious Radio City Music Hall on June 7th and broadcast live on CBS starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, as well as on Paramount+.

"It is an honor of a lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz," Pink said with passion. "Broadway has shaped my life and the way I put together my own shows - it's a community that is supportive, inclusive, and brimming with talent and love. These people create magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world."

Despite never having been on Broadway herself, Pink has attended shows as a fan and has even moved her family to New York, in part, so her daughter Willow could experience more theater and pursue a career on Broadway. When she recently guest-hosted The Kelly Clarkson Show, Pink revealed that she had moved her family to New York specifically for this reason.

"When I was asked to host the Tonys, I immediately thought, 'I have to get permission from my daughter.' I've never been on Broadway, and shouldn't you have to have been on Broadway in order to host? That seems fair and right. But when I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys, so I'm hosting the Tonys and I'm really, really excited," Pink said with a smile.

The move also appears to be a strategic one, aimed at broadening the reach of the ceremony beyond the current theater community.

"Each year, the Tony Awards creates new theater fans around the world, expanding Broadway's reach and shaping its future," said Heather Hitchens, president and CEO of the American Theatre Wing, and Jason Laks, president of the Broadway League. "Over the course of her extraordinary career, Pink has built one of the most passionate and enduring fan communities in the history of popular music, giving her a unique ability to bring even more people into this growing family. Simply put: we could not be more excited to get this party started."

Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall, and Jack Sussman are producing this year's ceremony, replacing Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner at White Cherry Entertainment, which had produced the show since 2003, alongside Tony Award Productions.
