At that juncture, she sought sole physical and legal custody of the child, while petitioning the court to grant Diggs visitation rights.
In a subsequent legal maneuver, the New England Patriots wide receiver—who is already a father to 8-year-old Nova from a previous relationship—challenged the paternity claim and called for genetic testing to ascertain whether he was indeed the father, as reported by *People*. Additionally, the 31-year-old athlete requested that, should the genetic test confirm his paternity of the baby—whom Lopera has named Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, per the filing—he and Lopera would share joint legal and physical custody, as well as split the "reasonable expenses" related to the pregnancy, birth, and attorney’s fees, the outlet detailed, citing the legal documents.
