Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have discovered a new source of boundless love. The "Love on the Brain" songstress and the "Praise the Lord" rapper—already proud parents to sons RZA, aged 3, and Riot, aged 2—joyfully welcomed their baby girl, Rocki Irish Mayers, into the world on September 13. The newborn's name is a heartfelt tribute to her father (born Rakim Mayers), who was affectionately nicknamed Rocky long before he embraced it as his stage persona. Rihanna took to Instagram on September 24 to share the heartwarming news, posting a tender snapshot of herself cradling the infant, who was adorably dressed in a pink onesie with matching socks. The 37-year-old pop icon also included a photo of tiny, pink boxing gloves, perhaps a playful nod to the iconic boxing film, "Rocky."
The couple first announced Rihanna's pregnancy in May, when the Grammy-winning artist shared a stunning portrait captured by photographer Miles Diggs. She then made her official baby bump debut at the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP, aged 36, served as co-chair. And while baby Rocki shares a name with her dad, the "Sundress" rapper recently revealed in a GQ interview published on September 22 that he had playfully hoped to name their newborn after his "Highest 2 Lowest" co-star Denzel Washington, regardless of gender. "Denzel, no matter what," he quipped with a grin. "The first female baby named Denzel, that'd be lit. We've got it all figured out."
Though they ultimately chose Rocki over Denzel, one thing is undeniably clear: Rihanna and A$AP are utterly smitten with their children. "I've got nothing but love to give to these little ones," the "Sundress" rapper gushed to GQ. "And as you can see, that's what occupies a lot of my heart space—my family."
In fact, the couple makes a conscious effort to keep work-related discussions out of their home, choosing instead to focus their attention on their sons and their newest addition. "When you come home, it's all about family," he shared in a recent interview with Elle. "It's about your relationship. It's about your household. It's not about all that other nonsense."
And for Rihanna, becoming a mother has completely transformed her perspective on the world. "Oh, my god, it's legendary," she told British Vogue about motherhood in 2023. "It's everything. You really don't remember life before it—that's the craziest thing ever."
