The luxurious Beverly Hills abode of pop superstar Rihanna was unfortunately the target of a shooting incident, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department. At 13:15 local time (21:15 GMT) on Sunday, officers swiftly responded to the reports of gunfire. A suspect, identified as a woman in her 30s, was swiftly located and apprehended.
A police official shared with CBS News, the BBC's US partner, that the residence targeted belonged to Rihanna, and assault rifle casings were found at the scene. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. According to a law enforcement source cited by the Los Angeles Times, Rihanna was present in the mansion at the time of the shooting.

The suspect, who had allegedly stopped in a car outside the home and fired seven shots before fleeing, was apprehended about eight miles (12km) away from Rihanna's residence. Her vehicle was found in that location, where she was taken into custody. Her identity has not been publicly disclosed as of yet.
Last September, Rihanna welcomed her third child, a daughter, with her partner A$AP Rocky. The couple, who also share two sons named Riot and RZA, announced Rihanna's latest pregnancy at last year's Met Gala. This was not the first time they had made headlines in 2025. In February, A$AP Rocky was acquitted of firing a gun at a former friend in a trial that Rihanna attended with her sons.
The Barbados-born celebrity, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like "Pon de Replay" and "Umbrella." She recently celebrated 20 years since the release of her debut album. Throughout her career, Rihanna has launched several successful businesses, including her popular makeup line Fenty Beauty and a lingerie company. At 37 years old, her net worth has been estimated by Forbes to be over a billion dollars.
