Boyfriend On Demand – K-drama Episode 8 1

As the night progresses, Mi-rae finds herself next to Kyeong-nam when she needs to charge her phone. When he reaches out to touch her head, her heart starts fluttering. She realizes that she's seeing more and more of Kyeong-nam everywhere, and he's also softening towards her, taking the elevator with her at work and being incredibly kind, complimenting her and even buying her favorite coffee.

Kyeong-nam's changed attitude works wonders with Mi-rae, even sending her a good night message and returning her Secret Santa present. At work, Mi-rae is completely distracted, especially when she keeps spacing out with Song. She can't get a grip on her work, while Kyeong-nam is on top of his game. Not only is he continuing to work wonders with Hwany, but they're also in talks for a possible video game adaptation for Plan C.

Meanwhile, Ji-yeon gets a "Boyfriend on Demand" headset for herself and starts to enjoy a proper date with a guy who's into her. He even sings to her! On Christmas Eve, Kyeong-nam stays behind for Mi-rae since she needs to wait for Song to upload her episode. They get into the Christmas spirit together, and outside they talk frankly about how they feel. Kyeong-nam admits that it's just a façade for gliding through work, when in reality he does have his struggles.

Given Mi-rae's love for art, she notices an upcoming festival and Kyeong-nam decides they should go together. He tells Mi-rae to wait before answering, respecting her decision either way. Before they part ways, he gives her a Christmas card and tells her to read it later.

As Mi-rae steps through the door, our protagonist reads the card, and Kyeong-nam, with a gentle invitation, asks her to share a meal together, just the two of them. This prompts her to ponder the future and question whether her relationship with Yeong-il is truly what she desires.

Following Christmas, there's a department-wide presentation to wrap up the work year. As they discuss the rookie competition, there's an undercurrent of doublespeak, with Mi-rae effectively telling Kyeong-nam that her feelings for him won't change. However, Mi-rae has come to realize that it was always Kyeong-nam who made her heart skip a beat. She's been deceiving herself for some time now, and she's terrified that his feelings might shift, leaving her vulnerable to another devastating heartbreak.

Worried by these thoughts, Mi-rae decides to give up without even trying, convinced that it will only end badly. As time passes, the Director makes a significant announcement. The company has decided to venture into the American webtoon market, sending Korea's finest over there... including the Director himself!

After the meeting, the team heads home, and as fate would have it, Mi-rae and Kyeong-nam end up sharing a taxi. When she拒絕了接他的傘, Kyeong-nam confronts her about it, challenging her feelings and questioning why accepting something so trivial is such a big deal for her.

As they talk, Mi-rae admits that it's difficult for her. She wavers every time he draws her in and she doesn't have anything figured out right now. She admits that she might be tempted and scoffs at the notion of dating together.

Mi-rae believes that where there's a beginning, there's a definitive end and that everyone changes. Kyeong-nam counters by admitting that change can be a good thing. For him, he changed when he fell for her. Eventually, he takes a chance and leans forward to kiss her.

In this moment of vulnerability and truth, both characters face their fears and uncertainties head-on, leading to a poignant and emotionally charged scene that will resonate with viewers.
