Rose Byrne was all set to make a stunning entrance at the Oscars 2026, and she did not disappoint. The star of "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You," who was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role on March 15, went head-to-head with Emma Stone from "Bugonia," Kate Hudson in "Song Sung Blue," Jessie Buckley in "Hamnet," and Renate Reinsve in "Sentimental Value." However, the evening turned into a romantic date night for Byrne, as she arrived at the Conan O'Brien-hosted award show held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with her partner, Bobby Cannavale.

In a strapless Dior gown adorned with a floral design, Byrne, 46, commanded attention as she and Cannavale walked down the red carpet. After the show, she quickly changed into a chic two-piece black fringe outfit to continue the party with Cannavale by her side. This was Byrne's first Academy Award nomination, but she recently won the Golden Globe for Best Female Actor in Musical/Comedy Motion Picture for her portrayal of an exhausted therapist struggling to care for her newborn baby girl.

"This is such a shock," she said in her acceptance speech. "Thank you for believing in me and giving me this opportunity." In fact, Byrne was so confident that she wouldn't win that she allowed Cannavale to skip the ceremony to attend a reptile convention, where he brought home a new lizard for their sons, Rocco, 9, and Rafael, 8.

"He couldn't be here because we're getting a bearded dragon, and he went to a reptile expo in New Jersey," she quipped. "So, thank you, baby." Meanwhile, Cannavale quipped that Byrne, whom he started dating around 2012, "destroyed my life with that announcement."

In a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Cannavale revealed that their new family pet is named Benny after Benson Boone because their son loves him.
