Teyana Taylor is no stranger to the art of support, and she made this abundantly clear when Amy Madigan was announced as the 2026 Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actress. As Zoe Saldaña confirmed the star's victory, Teyana leapt to her feet, showering her category mate with love and admiration.

For her part, Amy couldn't contain her excitement at winning, and shared her journey through the awards season. She credited her fellow Best Supporting Actress nominees, including Teyana, Wunmi Mosaku from "Sinners," and Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas from "Sentimental Value," for the sisterhood they'd developed over the past few months.

"When I was filming 'Weapons,' I was kind of traveling on my own," she explained from the stage. "But people from 'One Battle' and 'Sinners' just gave me a hug and said, 'Come on in.'"

Though she didn't walk away with the Oscar, Teyana has proven her worth this season, taking home Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Golden Globes. As she accepted her award in a custom black Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, she shared an emotional message for her fellow "Brown sisters and little Brown girls" watching the ceremony.

"Our softness is not a liability," she said. "Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space."

The achievement wasn't lost on the "Gonna Love Me" singer, who reflected on the journey that led her to this moment.

"Thank you @goldenglobes for seeing me, not just in this performance, but in the journey," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of herself holding her trophy. "I've been at this for 20 years, so this award doesn't only represent this role... it represents every season, every sacrifice, every yes, every no, and all the love and life I've poured into my work and into others along the way."

She concluded, "Purpose doesn't rush. It arrives right on time."
