Sabrina Carpenter Dazzles During Opening Night of Her Nearly Week-Long L.A. Run

Published: Nov 18 2025

Sabrina Carpenter brought her tongue-in-cheek pop vibe to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, igniting the first of six sold-out performances at the downtown venue. The show, part of the second American leg of the Short N’ Sweet tour, followed her previous November 2024 L.A. stint with two shows at the Kia Forum and one at the Crypto.com Arena.

The event, divided by the hours of the day, revolved around a central house set piece, where Carpenter launched into "Taste," the lead single from her breakthrough album Short N’ Sweet. While known for her catchy pop anthems, the Short N’ Sweet tour offered casual fans and diehard supporters a deeper dive into her well-rounded discography. Amidst viral hits like "Bed Chem," "Please Please Please," and "Juno," she sprinkled in slower, more lyrical tracks like "Dumb and Poetic," "Slim Pickins," and "Sharpest Tool."

Carpenter's profile soared last summer following the release of her 2024 single "Espresso," which she closed the show with. The single and album earned her two Grammy Awards in February for Best Pop Solo Performance with "Espresso" and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Rather than limiting the tour to just Short N’ Sweet tracks, Carpenter expertly interspersed songs from earlier albums like "Decode" and "Tornado Warnings." The biographical "Because I Like A Boy" stood out, as did "Nonsense" and "Feather," which marked the beginning of Carpenter's ascendancy to pop IT girl status.

Given this show was the second leg of the tour supporting Short N’ Sweet, the setlist included a few newer songs from Carpenter’s latest album, Man’s Best Friend. She told the L.A. crowd that last year's shows inspired her to write several songs for the album. Carpenter managed to add in "House Tour," a groovy pop track with innuendo that felt right at home given the show’s backdrop. She also had the crowd singing along to the album's two singles, "Manchild" and "Tears." At one point in the show, Carpenter and her dancers brought out a roulette meant to pick a song to sing, landing on the now-viral "Nobody’s Son," which she performed a snippet of.

The costumes added to the show's overall experience, perfectly matching Carpenter's sweet meets sultry brand. The singer's black bodysuit, which she performed a majority of the show in, was both glamorous and effortlessly cool.

Carpenter managed to nab six nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards earlier this month. The "Manchild" singer was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. She also earned six nominations at the 2025 ceremony.

All six nights of Carpenter's run at the Crypto.com Arena are currently sold out. She performed on November 17 and will resume on November 19, playing shows every night through November 22.
