Over the past year, the talented singer of "Espresso" has soared to become one of the planet's biggest pop stars, clinching two Grammy Awards earlier this year for Best Pop Vocal Album with her latest release, "Short 'n Sweet," and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit single, "Espresso."
Riding high on this wave of popularity, Carpenter has sold out concerts worldwide during her "Short 'n Sweet" tour. She is also set to headline several festivals this summer, with Lollapalooza in Chicago in August being one of the highlights. However, before taking the real-life stage, she will be serving as a virtual headliner in the world of Fortnite.
On Monday, Fortnite announced that Sabrina Carpenter would be the "headliner" for "Fortnite Festival" Season Eight. "The global superstar and double GRAMMY winner, Sabrina Carpenter, brings her unique and eccentric pop style to Fortnite Festival Season 8. Unlock her 'Juno' and 'Nonsense' Jam Tracks with the Season 8 Music Pass and discover more of her tracks in the Shop! That's right, Season 8 Icon Sabrina will also have an outfit available in both the Music Pass and Shop," Fortnite proudly announced.
"Fortnite Festival" is a Rock Band-inspired game mode within "Fortnite" that allows four players to perform together in harmony. While the game is packed with Sabrina-themed content, the most exciting addition is Sabrina herself as a playable character, complete with her iconic lingerie-inspired outfits.
Needless to say, Carpenter has turned heads even in her video game avatar. "SHE LOOKS AMAZING!" one fan exclaimed on social media. "She stuns everywhere," another added. "Oh, so she's bringing the heat," another fan remarked. "Not gonna lie, Sabrina's Fortnite skins are fire," someone else wrote. "Fortnite just leveled up," another person commented. "Will they let her do the Juno poses in-game? Because...," someone joked.
Sabrina will officially make her debut in the game on Tuesday, April 8, promising to mesmerize players with her virtual presence just as she has done in real life.
