In an intriguing twist, an Oscar-nominated actor has declined to lend a helping hand to Kim Kardashian in her latest venture into acting, and the rationale behind this decision may astound you. During an interview with the Daily Mail, published on Monday, the Oscar-nominee Glenn Close, who has been nominated for an impressive eight Academy Awards but has yet to secure a win, making her tied with Peter O’Toole for the most nominations without an Oscar, revealed her reasons for not offering "any advice" to Kim Kardashian on the set of their upcoming Ryan Murphy show, titled "All's Fair."
"I was genuinely intrigued," Close expressed about working alongside Kardashian. "I was eagerly anticipating meeting her. It was my first time working on a Ryan Murphy show, which is a realm unto itself, and I believe she might be surprised by my demeanor. I had to find my footing in this new environment."
Despite Close's extensive experience in the industry, she candidly admitted to the outlet, "I wouldn't dream of giving Kim Kardashian advice. I perceive her as an exceptionally intelligent woman. I believe she has the capacity to excel in whatever she chooses to pursue."
Close elaborated, "Honestly, if she desires to become an actress, that's one potential path for her. But she could also excel in other areas. She's an outstanding executive. She's a formidable businesswoman. She's a deeply involved mother. She's even pursuing a law degree. Therefore, I think she possesses immense potential and has already achieved fulfillment as a woman. And honestly, I'm eagerly anticipating seeing what path she decides to embark upon."
Although Close won't be imparting any of her acting wisdom to Kardashian, the latter has inspired her Oscar-nominated co-star in a different yet invaluable way - fashion. "I feel comfortable being myself, and I'm currently in an experimental phase," Close shared. "I'm at a stage in life where, especially after working on 'All's Fair' and witnessing Kim's diverse hairstyles every day, I've been contemplating trying something similar. So, I'm in a moment where I want to explore my other identities and perhaps delve deeper into fashion."
"All's Fair" is anticipated to premiere on Hulu later this year.
