Sarah Jessica Parker Is an Angel With Giant Black Wings on Red Carpet With Matthew Broderick

In a flash, Sarah Jessica Parker left everyone astounded. The iconic "Sex and the City" star turned heads and dropped jaws when she made her grand entrance at the New York City Ballet 2025 Fall Fashion Gala on October 8, adorned with a pair of colossal black wings.

For this high-profile event, Sarah, aged 60, strutted down the red carpet in an off-white mini-dress, which was complemented by black netting that gracefully draped over her chest and flowed into a long, elegant train. The ensemble, a creation by the renowned Iris van Herpen, was further accentuated by a pair of floor-length wings perched majestically on her shoulders, possibly a nod to the film "Black Swan." To complete her audacious look, Sarah opted for a sleek bun, and simple yet chic black peep-toe pumps.

While her outfit is destined to be remembered as a bold fashion statement, it also posed a slight challenge when it came to posing alongside her date—her husband of 28 years, Matthew Broderick. At one memorable moment, the couple, who are proud parents to son James Wilkie Broderick, 25, and twin daughters Tabitha Hodge Broderick and Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick, 16, shared a lighthearted laugh. Sarah had to poke her head out from behind her wing just to locate Matthew's hand for a comforting hold.

Of course, Sarah is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of fashion. In fact, the "And Just Like That" actress harbors no regrets about any of the daring outfits she has donned over the years. As she candidly shared with W magazine in June, "I don’t regret any of it, because what’s the point?"

"I’m sure there’s a long list of things I should be telling you that were mistakes, whoopsie-daisies, wrong, misguided, unflattering," Sarah mused. "But all of it has been a gift; all of it has been absurd. All of it has been exhausting; all of it has been thrilling. All of it has made me feel like I’m in a world that’s just barely tethered to reality. What is there to regret?"

However, this carefree attitude towards fashion doesn’t seem to have rubbed off on her daughters—at least not yet. "So far, they’re not really raiding my closet or anything," Sarah revealed. "They enjoy clothing, but it doesn’t play an oversized role in their lives."

She added, "They definitely have ideas about how they want to feel and look when they step out the door, but they don’t seem particularly preoccupied with it."
