Brendan Hunt and Shannon Nelson will make you truly believe in the magic of love. The Ted Lasso star and the Drop Dead Gorgeous actress joyfully announced that they officially exchanged vows on September 20, following a two-year engagement. "Oh wait! I totally forgot to mention—@snoopshann and I got married in Ireland a couple of weeks ago," Brendan excitedly shared on Instagram on October 8, with a playful "NBD" (no big deal) thrown in for good measure.

The 53-year-old, who shares two sons—Sean, aged 4, and Archibald, aged 20 months—with Shannon, revealed that their wedding was planned on a whirlwind timeline, "with way less lead time than you’re supposed to give," and that they had fewer guests than they would have preferred "under normal circumstances." Nevertheless, the long-time couple's nuptials were imbued with a distinct Ted Lasso charm, as Brendan’s co-star Jason Sudeikis officiated the ceremony. Brendan joked, "We’re pretty sure the dude who married us was only pretending to be a priest."

"The bride was absolutely stunning," he gushed fondly, "while the groom cleaned up reasonably well. It was all quite lovely, and best of all, our little boys got to witness it." The boys even had a special role at the wedding, as Shannon shared in her own heartfelt October 8 Instagram post, "Our children walked me down the aisle and watched as their Dad and I exchanged our vows, tying our family together in the most quiet, musical, silly, and lovely way."

The actress reminisced about the night with warmth, adding, "Then we danced until my shoe leather wore off." Every detail of the celebration was infused with a personal touch. The couple shared the special way their invitations paid homage to their sons, reading, "Sean Theodore and Archibald Felix request the honor of your presence at the wedding celebration of their parents."

The invite also encouraged guests to embrace vibrancy, stating, "Bright colors and bold patterns encouraged." And the bright colors weren’t limited to the guests—Brendan himself donned a green velvet tuxedo, while Shannon opted for a cream-colored wedding gown adorned with delicate pale pink and green embroidered flowers.

The long-time couple sweetened the celebration with a three-tiered wedding cake, which featured small figurines of Sally and Pig-Pen from the beloved Peanuts comic strip as the cake toppers, adding a whimsical and nostalgic touch to their special day.
