Savannah Chrisley is utterly heartbroken over the tragic death of Charlie Kirk. Just hours after the co-founder of Turning Point USA was fatally shot during a speaking engagement at a Utah college on September 10, the former star of "Chrisley Knows Best" took to TikTok to express what she would miss most about their cherished friendship.
"The past two and a half years of my life have been among the most challenging I’ve ever faced," Savannah shared in an emotional TikTok video. "Yet, in the midst of those trials, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many incredible people and forging lifelong friendships."
The 28-year-old continued, "One of those extraordinary individuals who welcomed me into that world was Charlie Kirk—a person who empowered me as a woman, making me feel like I possessed the strength and voice to make a difference in this world."
Savannah, whose parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were granted a pardon by President Donald Trump earlier this year, went on to recount how Charlie, at the age of 31, had been a staunch supporter in her fight for her family’s prison release. "He believed in me and in my family when the world seemed to have turned its back on us," she penned in the caption. "He saw our potential, spoke life into our situation, and reminded me that God still had a plan, even when I couldn’t see it myself. That kind of unwavering belief has the power to transform you forever."
Their professional collaboration was poised to deepen even further this fall. "I was meant to stand by his side at every college event this October," she explained. "Instead, I find myself here, with a shattered heart, devastated beyond words."
Describing his killing as a "political assassination," Savannah expressed profound empathy for Charlie’s wife, Erika Frantzve Kirk, who is raising two young children with the late conservative activist. "I’m genuinely grieving for his wife, Erica," the "Growing Up Chrisley" star continued. "One of the kindest, most loving souls I’ve ever had the honor of knowing."
She also reflected on Charlie’s impact on the world through his public political debates, stating, "He ignited a movement. His legacy is one that I hope I can even begin to emulate for my own children someday."
In a heartfelt message to Charlie, Savannah concluded, "You changed America. You changed me. You changed my family. Rest in peace, my friend. Heaven has welcomed a true warrior."
