Don't let Katy Perry's heartfelt nod to her little one slip away unnoticed. The "Dark Horse" singer unleashed her music video for her new song "Bandaids" on November 6, and it included a poignant tribute to her 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, whom she shares with ex-hubby Orlando Bloom.
In the video, Katy is plagued by a series of freak accidents, seemingly singing about her breakup with Orlando, whom she ended their engagement with in June after nine years together. "Hand to God I promise I tried / There’s no stone left unturned," she sings in the first verse. "It’s not what you did, it’s what you didn’t / You were there but you weren’t." Despite their issues, Katy asserts that she has no regrets about their love story on the bridge.

At that moment in the video, a single daisy flower sprouts up through the otherwise barren train tracks, symbolizing that their failed romance ultimately gave her an inestimable gift: her daughter. "If I had to do it all over again / I would still do it all over again," Katy lip-synchs in the clip while admiring the flower. "The love that we made was worth it in the end."
This isn't the first time the "Firework" artist has been candid about how motherhood has influenced her journey. In fact, Katy previously detailed how raising her little one has even influenced her creative process. "What she has given me in my life [is] the unconditional love that I was always searching for," she told E! News in April 2024. "That is where I am creating from. Just like wholeness, happiness, and true full love."
Katy emphasized that Orlando—who is also dad to 14-year-old son Flynn with ex Miranda Kerr—feels just as grateful about becoming a girl dad. "She had some good karma coming to us," the 41-year-old said in 2024 during an appearance on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. "She is such our gift and such a blessing."
