Selena Gomez is striking a chord with her kindness and unwavering honesty. The Rare Beauty founder recently addressed rumors about her voice after fans noticed a change in her tone. "I've been asked this question a few times," she shared on an Instagram Live session on December 16, 33-year-old Selena explained with a shrug. "I don't really care. My point is that things happen. My throat sometimes swells on the inside. That's all."

This isn't the first time the "Bluest Fame" singer has shared how her medications, both for managing her lupus and bipolar disorder, have impacted her body over the years. And as Selena continues to shed light on her condition, she's grateful that her supporters are also looking out for her. "I'm glad you're being real with me on the Live," she continued in the session. "I appreciate it."

In fact, the Revival singer—who married Benny Blanco in the fall—has found lighthearted humor in discussing her fans' concerns about her well-being. Just one day before her Live revelation, Selena had a heart-to-heart conversation about her skin health. "Someone made me laugh because they asked me, 'How do you shave your mustache?'" she said in a video shared on her Instagram Stories on December 16. "It's actually not a mustache! It's my melasma."

The Only Murders in the Building star noted that she "totally" understood the comment, as melasma—a common skin condition—causes slightly dark patches that sometimes mimic a shadow. This discoloration is often triggered by sun exposure, which she revealed was the cause of her diagnosis. "I actually have melasma and a pimple," she explained in the clip, zooming the camera close to her upper lip. "It's actually from the sun, so you'll have to obviously wear sunscreen and be careful."
