Though, unlike at the 2024 event, Selena didn't land a nomination for her acting in the series, she and co-star Steve Martin were eager to root for Martin Short as he vied for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award. This marks Martin's fourth nomination for his role in *Only Murders*, but the competition is fierce. The 75-year-old is up against Adam Brody (*Nobody Wants This*), Seth Rogen (*The Studio*), Jason Segel (*Shrinking*), and Jeremy Allen White (*The Bear*).
The series itself, *Only Murders in the Building*, faces stiff competition in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. Other nominees include *Abbott Elementary*, *The Bear*, *Hacks*, *Nobody Wants This*, *Shrinking*, *The Studio*, and *What We Do in the Shadows*.
Yet, regardless of whether *Only Murders* takes home the trophy, Selena is already a winner, relishing the opportunity to work alongside Steve and Martin, two titans of comedy. “I’m so thrilled that it’s been five years working with Steve and Marty,” she gushed to *E! News* earlier this month. “It’s been an absolute blast, and every year, I feel like we grow closer, and our bond just gets stronger.”
