The yellow Labrador graced the red carpet outside the event, posing alongside the "Legally Blonde" star, who donned a strapless, sequined, Monique Lhuillier gown in a striking monochrome hue. Her ensemble was complemented by pointy heels and sleekly pulled-back blond hair. However, it was inside the bash, held at the Wallis Annenberg Centre for the Performing Arts on Sunday, March 2, following the Oscars ceremony, where Scout truly embraced the festive spirit.
The 52-year-old actress shared a string of photos on her Instagram Stories, depicting Scout, adorned with an endearing black bow for the evening, cozying up to celebrities such as Chrissy Teigen, Michael Keaton, Laverne Cox, and Justin Theroux. The mother of four, Teigen, 39, appeared utterly enchanted by the pup in one snapshot, while another captured Scout sharing a slobbery kiss with the "Goodrich" actor Keaton, 73. In a third photo, Theroux, 53, could be seen giving Scout a playful pat behind the ears.
Patricia Clarkson, 65, from "House of Cards," embraced Scout on the dance floor in another image, while another snap showed him gazing up at Cox from "Orange is the New Black," 52. Blair herself posted a video of her evening out with Scout, set to Depeche Mode's tune "But Not Tonight." Her caption read, "Celebrating the Oscars at Vanity Fair for over 25 years, and I loved tonight the most. Scout made for an exceptional date."
Back in May 2022, the star, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, opened up to PEOPLE about life with Scout. Blair revealed that her neurologist suggested a service dog for its potential physical and emotional benefits, calling the animal a "tremendous gift." She said, "He's with me constantly. If I fall into a severe muscle spasm or face mobility issues and need to regain balance, he can slip between my legs, help me rise, and steady me. He's granted me a great deal of independence."
The "Cruel Intentions" actress added that Scout had "kept [her] active and helped [her] build endurance." Scout also earned the crucial endorsement from her 13-year-old son, Arthur, whom she shares with her ex-partner, fashion designer Jason Bleick. "When my son visits his dad, he loves knowing Scout is by my side," she shared.
