Sharna Burgess is striking back with force. The former "Dancing With the Stars" professional dancer has fiercely responded to a social media troll who commented on a picture of her and fiancé Brian Austin Green's 3-year-old son, Zane Green, suggesting that he "looks like a girl."
In a heartwarming Instagram video shared on September 2, Zane, adorned with his long blond hair tied in a bun and dressed in khaki shorts, a green shirt, and sneakers, proudly held up a sign reading, "Zane's first day of Pre-K." In the backdrop, Sharna and Zane's half-siblings Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8—whom Brian shares with his ex-wife Megan Fox—cheered their brother on as he prepared for this exciting milestone.
One user, however, marred the sweet moment with a rude remark: "Damn, now even this boy looks like a girl. Why do all his boys look like girls?"
Undeterred and unbowed, Sharna didn't let the hurtful comment go unnoticed. She swiftly fired back, "Take your account off private so I can comment on how you look too."
This isn't the first instance where Sharna, who got engaged to Brian in 2023, a year after Zane's birth, has had to address such criticism aimed at her and Brian's children. In fact, the 38-year-old had previously revealed that she would never consider enrolling her blended family in a reality show due to the negativity they faced.
During an October 2024 episode of the "Between Us Moms" podcast, Sharna shared, "We already get media articles claiming I'm forcing Zane to be a girl because I haven't cut his hair yet. Or people absurdly stating that the kids are being forced to be girls—I just don't comprehend it."
She further emphasized her reluctance to expose her children to more ridicule, stating, "Imagine us doing an actual reality show. The attention simply isn't healthy for our kids, and it's definitely not Brian's cup of tea either."
Although Sharna feels that no child should endure such scrutiny, she is grateful that Zane has a wonderful support system as he embarks on new journeys in life. She captioned her Instagram post, "This morning, you could hear his siblings hyping him up, and we all went to support him on his first morning drop-off."
"My blended tribe means the world to me," she added. "We are truly blessed."
