Sharon Stone, possessing an innate and heartwarming inclination to lend support to her friends, has once again demonstrated her unwavering loyalty. The esteemed actress from "Total Recall" recounted how she played a pivotal role in assisting Eric Dane, 52, in securing a spot on the hit series "Euphoria," years prior to his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

"Eric and I have been cherished friends for an extended period," revealed Sharon, 67, to Entertainment Tonight on August 11. "When he was vying for a role on 'Euphoria,' I served as his morale booster. He would visit my home, bearing gluten-free cookies, and we'd sit together, delving into strategies, as he harbored a deep desire for that particular job."

Indeed, her mentorship bore fruit as Eric brought his character, Cal Jacobs—the father of Jacob Elordi's Nate Jacobs—to life on the small screen in 2019. He is poised to reprise his role in the upcoming third season of the HBO series. While fighting back tears, Sharon emphasized, "It fills my heart with immense joy that he landed that role when he did."

Now, the celebrated actress from "Casino" will have a ringside view of Eric's character development in the third season. Sharon affirmed her involvement in the forthcoming season of "Euphoria" in February, albeit she kept mum about her character's dynamics with the rest of the ensemble.

"We haven't delved into discussions about the happenings on set," she teased, "except to express my boundless delight at being an integral part of this incredible journey."

As for Eric, amidst his battle with ALS, he has openly expressed his enthusiasm for returning to "Euphoria" and embarking on new ventures like Amazon Prime Video's "Countdown." In fact, he has no intentions of putting his acting career on hold.

"I intend to ride this wave until it comes to a halt," Eric confided to E! News in June. "I feel invigorated when I'm at work. Admittedly, there have been obstacles, but I'm in relatively good shape. My spirit remains steadfastly high, and ultimately, that's all that truly matters."
