Sister Wives' Christine Brown Reveals If She Uses "Weight Loss Shots" After Losing 40 Pounds

Published: Sep 27 2025

Christine Brown is candidly sharing the unvarnished truth about her weight loss journey. The "Sister Wives" star recently unveiled that she has shed an impressive 40 pounds, showcasing side-by-side photos of herself before and after her remarkable body transformation. While firmly denying the use of injectable weight loss drugs to attain her fitness objectives, she extended her heartfelt support to those who have chosen that path. "Weight loss shots are empowering so many women to make significant strides," she penned in an Instagram post on September 24, "and I'm fully behind them!"

Nonetheless, the 53-year-old, who parted ways with her polygamous husband Kody Brown in 2021, cautioned her followers about potential "setbacks" that may arise from using injectables, including sluggish digestion and a dip in energy levels.

Christine's newfound openness doesn't stop at her physical transformation. In her recently released memoir, "Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom," she delves into the intricate and often strained dynamic she shared with her former sister wife, Meri Brown. Christine recounts how Meri frequently criticized her weight, intelligence, and parenting style. "I couldn't trust her to be kind, especially in front of others," Christine wrote in the book, which hit shelves earlier this month. "She'd say demeaning things about me right in front of me when she was with her family."

Furthermore, Christine accused Meri, now 54, of holding her and Janelle Brown to a far higher standard than she set for herself. (Kody's plural marriages to both Meri and Janelle, now 56, have also come to an end, though he remains married to his wife, Robyn Brown.) "Even as she imposed a plethora of rules on us regarding how to fold towels or other trivial matters," Christine continued, "she'd blast her country music so loudly that we could hear it throughout the house. It didn't matter if a baby was sleeping or if Janelle or I were trying to catch up on some rest or spend quiet time with our kids."

Ultimately, Christine acknowledged that a significant source of tension between herself and her fellow sister wives stemmed from their close quarters during their shared living arrangement. "None of us would have picked each other as best friends," she conceded. "And if we had, the little quirks that annoyed us about each other wouldn't have been a big deal if we hadn't spent so much time together."
