Snoop Dogg broke the exciting news on his Instagram account with a succinct yet impactful video. "April 27th, I'm unleashing a gospel album under Death Row Records. It's called 'Altar Call.' The album's star-studded features include Jamie Foxx, Robert Glasper, Denaun Porter, Jazze Pha, Charlie Bereal, Jane Handcock, October London, among others, with room to spare on its generous 21-track list.
This album holds a special place in Snoop Dogg's heart, as he has dedicated it to his beloved late mother, Beverly Tate. Tragically, Tate passed away on October 24, 2021, at the age of 70, after a three-month hospital stay. The cause of her demise remains undisclosed to this day. Ironically, Snoop had a performance scheduled in Boston on the very day she passed. Despite his sorrow, he decided to honor his commitment, sharing a heartfelt message with the audience.
"I almost didn't come out here to perform tonight because my mother passed away earlier. But in the spirit of the wonderful people of Boston, I wanted to be here for you, as this is exactly what my mama would have wanted me to do," he revealed.
