The Glass Dome – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Meanwhile, Valter bursts into her room with alarming news: a leak has tainted the town's water supply, prompting the previous night's Town Alarm. The Council is convening immediately, and Valter intends to be present.

Elsewhere, Tomas sets Said free after phone records cleared him of Louise's murder, proving he was out of town during the crime. With swift contrition, Tomas apologizes and updates Said on Alicia's case, revealing that progress remains scant beyond the kidnapper's chilling video. With Said's innocence established, the police redirect their focus to other potential culprits, probing into whether Said harbors any enemies, a notion complicated by his employment at the mine company.

Kristina, meanwhile, fills Valter and Lejla in on the video's contents. A radio announcement interruptions their conversation, informing the townsfolk that the search for Alicia has been halted due to the water contamination, deeming it unsafe for people to venture into the woods. At the Council meeting, Kristina declares a temporary cessation of mining activities until the contamination is addressed, to the delight of Jim, his father, and other mine opponents. Though water poisoning worries persist, Kristina pleads for more time, with Valter rising to her defense.

During the meeting, Lejla catches a glimpse of Aino in a heated dispute with her spouse.

Later, Valter and Lejla venture to Kristina's abode to console Said. They endeavor to reassure him that Alicia will be rescued, though Said's fears linger about her possible sexual exploitation by her captor. Lejla gently disputes this notion, reasoning that if sexual motives drove the kidnapper, they wouldn't have received the video.

Said's anxiety persists regarding the enigmatic reasons behind Alicia's abduction. He inquisitively probes Lejla about her past experiences, to which she endeavors to provide answers. With a grim determination, Said vows to terminate the life of the perpetrator responsible for his daughter's ordeal once he is apprehended. This宣誓triggers a flood of recollections in Lejla's mind, reminiscent of her own time imprisoned within the glass dome.

Once the guests have departed, Kristina broaches the subject of Louise's funeral with Said, only to be met with a fiery retort. He vehemently refuses to contemplate such matters, storming out in a fit of rage.

Returning to his abode, Said initiates the process of tidying up. Amidst his chores, he stumbles upon a novel, a token of affection bestowed upon Louise by her lover. Suddenly, a startling noise disrupts the silence outside, piquing his curiosity. He ventures out to investigate, only to be assaulted by a cohort of masked assailants. They issue an ultimatum: abandon the town and halt the mine's expansion. After their departure, Said, shaken but resolute, makes his way to the police station.

Meanwhile, at home, Lejla confides in Valter about a haunting dream she had involving her late mother. Valter gently reminds her of the heart-wrenching moment he imparted the tragic news of her mother's suicide, which occurred during Lejla's own abduction. Lejla, driven by a need for closure, insists on viewing her mother's interview. Valter, compliant, agrees to share the footage with her. As she delves into the documents and listens to her mother's desperate pleas for her rescue, Lejla's memories of her begin to resurface with vivid clarity. In the midst of her review, her phone rings; it's Said.

At the police station, Said interrogates Lejla about Louise's affair, seeking information on her lover's identity. Lejla, lying through omission, claims ignorance. Said reveals his suspicion that he recognized Jim, albeit with uncertainty. He presents the novel, a tangible link to Louise's lover, to the police, hoping they might recognize the owner. Following Said's report, Jim is brought in for questioning, though遗憾的是, the authorities find no incriminating evidence tying him to the attack.

As the police document Said's injuries with photographs, Lejla notices Aino's visible distress. She approaches her, learning that Adde has gone missing. A week prior, Adde had returned home with a significant sum of money, sparking Aino's fears that he might be involved in the water contamination scandal. Adde has been absent since the council meeting, leading Aino to speculate that he might be hiding at his father's cabin near Bodarna.

Lejla entrusts Valter with the task of supervising Isla while she and Aino attend to a pressing matter. Together, Lejla and Aino journey to the cabin, where they stumble upon an inebriated Adde in hiding. Confessing his guilt, he reveals that an anonymous entity hired him to taint the water supply, a scheme orchestrated entirely through emails, leaving him clueless about the mastermind's identity. They promptly escort Adde back to the police station. Upon investigating the emails, the police make a startling discovery: they are traced back to the same address that had previously sent Alicia's video.

Returning to Valter's residence, Aino and Lejla step inside. Lejla dashes in to collect Isla and a captivating drawing—a portrayal of a girl, presumably Lejla herself, enclosed within a glass dome. She also notices the window ajar. Inquiring about the artwork, Isla mentions that Ecki, the artist, had crept in through the window to keep her company for a spell. With a sense of urgency, Lejla rushes to the window, but Ecki has already vanished into the night.
