Stellan Skarsgård wishes to imbue his son with a fortitude that can withstand the taunts of bullies. The star of "Mamma Mia!" – father to actors Alexander Skarsgård, 49, and Bill Skarsgård, 35, with ex-wife My Skarsgård – reflected on the ridicule his youngest son Kolbjörn, 13, faces due to his famous father's name. "My 13-year-old, Kolbjörn, the youngest, suffers from that," Stellan told Vulture in an interview published on October 22. "When his school friends call him a nepo baby, he gets so sad. He doesn't have any friends at school. He gets isolated. Cruel kids – or cruel and ignorant. They love it on the internet."

Stellan went further to assert that assuming Kolbjörn, who currently stars in the Swedish TV show Blood Cruise, has benefited from being a nepo baby is "such a bulls--t thing." As he explained, "Because nobody would hire you, at least not for anything good, if you’re not good enough." Moreover, the 74-year-old – who is also dad to Gustaf Skarsgård, 44, Sam Skarsgård, 42, Eija Skarsgård, 33, and Valter Skarsgård, 30, with My, as well as son Ossian, 16, with Megan – is not necessarily inclined to intervene in his children's careers, admitting, "I didn't recommend them for anything."

In fact, Stellan believes he deserves the title of nepo daddy more thanks to his children's acting success. "I consider myself a nepo daddy," he explained, "because I get so much goodwill and maybe jobs because of them."

Beyond the family business, the "Dune" actor has primarily focused on one aspect of his children's lives. "With all my eight kids, there’s one thing I’ve been afraid of every time I have a new kid," he continued. "Not that they have Down syndrome or they’re autistic – that they’re boring. Luckily, none of them were." Stellan also emphasized that he has a "very good relationship" with his kids but noted they "don’t have to put me on a pedestal" just because he’s their dad. "They have no respect for me just because I’m their father. Because that’s bulls--t," he said. "I don’t demand respect for being a father. I demand respect for a good idea or if I do something well or if I create something for them."
