Marvel Entertainment unveiled the captivating soundtrack for the highly anticipated film, Deadpool & Wolverine, on Wednesday, showcasing a standout collaboration that has been eagerly anticipated for years. Among the stellar lineup of artists, Stray Kids, the dynamic eight-member K-Pop supergroup, will contribute a seemingly fresh track titled "Slash" to the soundtrack. This boy band, originating from the renowned Korean label JYP Entertainment, has a rich history with Deadpool and its star, Ryan Reynolds.

In 2021, Stray Kids emerged victorious after an exciting competition on the Korean music reality show Kingdom: Legendary War. For the show's eighth episode, the group delivered a thrilling mashup of their hit "God's Menu" and Blackpink's "DDU-DU DDU-DU." Strikingly, Felix, a member of Stray Kids, kick-started the performance dressed as Reynolds' iconic Deadpool character, delivering a witty opening monologue reminiscent of the film's signature humor.

Enthusiastic fans of the K-Pop group shared clips with Reynolds, who reciprocated with a charming comment, "Oh hello @stray_kids," initiating a heartwarming bond between the group and the actor. Over the years, the band and Reynolds have engaged in lively exchanges on social media, with Bang Chan, the group's leader and eldest member, even interviewing the actor during the promotional tour for his movie Free Guy.

Earlier this month, Reynolds took to social media, sharing a video with Felix and Bang Chan as he promoted Deadpool & Wolverine alongside Hugh Jackman in South Korea. The video captured Reynolds hopping onto the trending "passing the phone to" social media fad, as he humorously said, "I'm gonna pass my phone here to my favorite Australian," teasingly pausing at Jackman before ultimately landing on Felix and Bang Chan, who coincidentally also hail from Australia. The actor captioned the post with "As they say in Seoul: Chk Chk Boom," a clever nod to the lead single from Stray Kids' upcoming EP ATE.

Joining Stray Kids on the Deadpool and Wolverine soundtrack is a special contribution from Jackman himself. "The Greatest Show" — a song from Jackman's 2017 film The Greatest Showman, where he portrayed the illustrious P.T. Barnum — is one of the eighteen standout tracks featured. How this compelling piece will be integrated into the movie's narrative remains a thrilling mystery.
