Nicole Kidman has left an indelible mark on her children's lives, both big and small. Her 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, whom she shares with ex-husband Keith Urban, revealed how her mother's influence sparked her passion for modeling. Growing up, Nicole brought her daughter along to photo shoots, which ignited a deep interest in the industry.
"My mother has always been incredibly creative and a major inspiration in my life," Sunday told Elle Australia in a recent interview. "She's an integral part of everything I do." This includes offering guidance on how to succeed in show business, starting with the importance of punctuality.
"The most crucial piece of advice my mother has given me is to always be on time," she continued. "There will always be early call times that you're not looking forward to, but being punctual is essential because it shows that you're prepared and grateful for the opportunity."
In other ways, Nicole has imparted wisdom simply by leading by example. As a mother to Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, 15, with Keith, as well as Bella Cruise, 33, and Connor Cruise, 31, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, she has shown her daughters the importance of traveling.
"I've traveled my whole life and my mother is a great traveler, so she's taught me how to be one too," Sunday explained. "It makes traveling so much fun and enjoyable."
But Sunday and Faith have also taught Nicole quite a bit. In a recent conversation with Ariana Grande for Interview magazine published in November, Nicole reflected on the "fascinating" takeaway she's gained from raising teenage daughters in today's world.
"I think they have an armor that we didn't get, or that I certainly didn't get, because there was no social media," she said. "The very young now already know exactly how to handle it."
