Gunn, passionate about keeping his fans informed, took to the social media platform Threads to share his heartfelt reflections on the filming experience. In a lengthy yet engaging thread, he lauded the warmth and hospitality of Cleveland, stating, "As we bid farewell to #Cleveland after six awe-inspiring weeks of filming, I am reminded of how this city embraced us with open arms. From the moment we scouted the location less than a year ago, with Terminal Tower glowing in the colors of Superman, I knew this was a place with a unique spirit. Walking its streets, I was often stopped by locals expressing their gratitude for our presence, a sentiment echoed countless times."

He further praised the "wonderful" background actors, whose enthusiasm and camaraderie reignited the fire within the Hollywood cynics. "The pride you feel in being the birthplace of Superman, created by Jerry [Siegel] and Joe [Shuster], is truly invigorating," Gunn added. "But it's the pride you have in your community, your hometown, your radio stations, restaurants, and gathering places that truly touched me."

Responding to a fan's query about the film's completion, Gunn revealed that they still have "a few weeks left," acknowledging, "It's been a long shoot, but we're almost there!"

'Superman' marks the inaugural project under Gunn and Peter Safran's leadership at DC Studios, and it promises to be a long-awaited treat for comic book fans. The film follows the Man of Steel as he grapples with his alien origins and human upbringing, a narrative that hasn't been explored on the big screen for over a decade. Nicholas Hoult takes on the iconic role of Lex Luthor, while Milly Alcock from 'House of the Dragon' stars as Supergirl. The ensemble cast also includes Wendell Pierce, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Edi Gathegi, Terence Rosemore, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, and María Gabriela de Faría.
