Sydney Sweeney Deletes Instagram Pic of Fiancé Jonathan Davino Amid Split Rumors

Published: Mar 25 2025

Sydney Sweeney's fans are avidly conjecturing about the current state of her love life. The 27-year-old actress, who got engaged to producer Jonathan Davino in February 2022, has recently sparked speculation by deleting a romantic snap of herself locking lips with the 41-year-old producer from her Instagram page. The picture, captured during the festive holidays as they ushered in the year 2025, seemed to symbolize their undying bond.

On March 24, Monday, the Instagram gossip account Deuxmoi shared that Sweeney had taken down "her NYE picture" featuring Davino, hinting, "Think they might be broken up." This fueled whispers among fans that the private couple might have decided to part ways. Us Weekly reached out to Sweeney's representative for a comment on the matter.

Back in December 2024, the couple was spotted heading to dinner at Crane Club, a luxurious steakhouse in New York City, dressed in matching leather attire. Since their romantic link-up in 2018, Sweeney and Davino have successfully kept their relationship under wraps.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan in February 2022, Sweeney revealed, "I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because that way, I can just be normal Syd, and it’s the easiest." She added, "I have a great support system. I have people who will stand up for me and let me shine without making me feel like, 'Oh no, I’m shining too bright, and I need to step back.'"

At that time, she expressed her desire for a partner who is also her "best friend," someone she can spend 24/7 with and never tire of, laughing every single day. That same month, rumors of their engagement surfaced when Sweeney was spotted wearing a diamond ring, which Us Weekly later confirmed in March 2022.

During her stint as the host of Saturday Night Live two years later, Sweeney paid a heartfelt tribute to Davino during her monologue, playfully dismissing rumors of a romance between her and her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell, who was seated in the audience. She emphatically stated, "That’s obviously not true. My fiancé and I produced the movie together. He was there through the entire shoot. I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams, and we’re still together and stronger than ever."

Recently, Sweeney embarked on an exhilarating trip to Africa with her girlfriends, sharing glimpses of her adventure on Instagram. Captioning a post from Saturday, March 22, which featured her safari and encounters with elephants, giraffes, and leopards, she exclaimed, "This was wild!" She also included a video of herself laughing heartily with her friends – notably absent from the frame was Davino.
